It is further considered that a large market would be opened up and developed in Canada for Queensland Tin and Wool, the latter article being duty free, and required in considerable quantity for the many Woolen Mills and Manufactories now working in Canada. The establishment of the service would also materially conduce to a satisfactory settlement of the "Pacific" question, and would undoubtedly be a speedy precoursor of the Pacific Cable. The service could be commenced at once with first class chartered vessels, until the new ships could be completed, and a fortnightly service would be established at the earliest opportuity -.
