Knight Commander of the most Honorable order of t. Michael
and St. George Captain General and Governor in Chief of
the Colony of Queensland and its Dependencies &c. &c.
The Humble Petition of Bartholomew
Ross of Quart Pot Creek in the Colony
of Queensland Stockholder.
Sheweth
That your Petitioner is owner of a house
situate at Quart Pot Creek aforesaid which was built by
your Petitioner some years since for an Inn or Public house
and that the same has since been licensed under the name
of the Golden Fleece Inn.
That your Petitioner held a license for the
said House until the first day of July last when your
Petitioner rented the same to one Dominick Dogherty who
also held a license for the same which license would have
expired on the 1st day of July next
That the said Dominick Dogherty about the
3rd or 4th of this present month of April forwarded his
said license to the Bench of Magistrates at Warwick with a
request that the same might be cancelled and that a few
days afterwards the said Dominick Dogherty abandoned the
said House altogether.
That the said license of the said Dominick
Dogherty has since been cancelled
That the said House known as the Golden
Fleece Inn is situated on the main road between Warwick
and Tenterfield and is about half way between those Towns
