By this mail I send official enquiry into her loss, together with her papers, to the board of trade. [I have not held enquiry into loss of "Charles Auguste" yet as I had hopes of finding the missing portion of her crew. I shall most likely be able to send it by this mail.] I have not been able to fill up the vacancies in the Water Police and Govt. Cutter, but will do so the first chance.
