This fact I was an eyewitness
to.
4. Considering the large ammounts
of land sold in & about
Rockhampton, a fair share
of Immigrants should be
forwarded to that port at
regular interals. The vessels
could anchor in Keppel Bay,
of which there is no difficulty
in entering at all times.
The Immigrants could easily
be conveyed at once to the
town, a very short distance
compared to Gladstone, wit all
the disadvantages of that Port.

this need.
8. I have the honor to welcome
requisition personaly &
respectfully signed by Masters
of vessels trading to & the habitants of Rock -

light-house or light ship
may be placed on Sandy Cape
or off Break Sea Spit. I
need not dwell on the contents
as they speak for themselves.
The necessity of such a beacon
will at once be seen & appre -
- ciated, I am sure, by the Government.
9. In consequence of the Govern -
- ment reserved the problem
of the river Fitzroy, it is in -
- cumbent it , to erect
sufficency of wharves & stores
for the present wants of the
town
