Humphrey Davey Mills duly sworn states I am a ship- wright resident at Thursday Island. I knew the late Charles Arbuthnot Bruce intimately. On the tenth of November last I was in company with him after leaving the Court House. I met him at Burns Philp's Wharf. He told me Samuel Rowe was to have all provisions & water on board the lugger ready for a start at a moments notice. Rowe I found afterwards had not got the provisions on board.
