Sir
I have the honor to call
your attention to the conduct
of a Black called Jemmy
(alias Money-open[?]) who was
the principal cause of the
apprehension of Kipper Billy
one of the Blacks on trial this
session, and found guilty
of a capital offence.
Single handed, he at
my request, attempted his
capture, and but for the
timely assistance of a
bullock driver would have
lost his life.
Any recognition of his
service by the Government
in any small way, would

affect, and encourage
Blacks to assist in the
apprehension of offenders
otherwise not easily to be
taken.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obed serv't
