Memorandum to:-
The Chief Protector of Aboriginals
South Brisbane.
With reference to your memo: re list of places in
my district, with their aboriginal meanings, I have
to inform you that old Mrs Campbell], from whom
I can get the most information, is at present under
the doctor at [Wynnum] and so I cannot yet get
in touch with her. Also, two other natives
who can furnish information are at present away
from the reserve - [Mrs Rolland] and [Rosey Martin].
However, I know a great many of the names myself,
but not their meanings and so, as soon as the people
above referred to return, I will send up as complete
a list as possible I am much interested in the
movement and will render all assistance possible.
