[centred] NEBO. [FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.] THINGS still continue rather quiet; shearing, which is going on all round us, being the chief thing talked of, and the wool is beginning to come down rapidly. Our monthly court was held on Tuesday, 18th instant, before G. F. Bridgman and A. B. Chauvel, Esqs, J's P. The following was the business:-- Moore v. Reynolds, for work done (ad- journed case). Verdict for plaintiff, £5. Brown v. Greives. No appearance. Tom, one of the Native Mounted Police Troopers, was charged with murdering a black gin at the Fort Cooper police bar- racks. It appeared that prisoner and another boy were left in camp (Sub- inspector Johnston being on patrol), and two of the gins were quarrelling, when pri- soner picked up a "nulla nulla" and threw it at them, striking one in the stomach, in consequence of which she died next day. Remanded for eight days.
