memo in reply to my
telegram of the 4th December

have the honor to inform
you that the country I
had in view on Carrolls'
Creek, for a native police
station, has been Selected
at the time of my report
I was not aware of it.
I however, now
respectfully suggest, that
as there were no offers
made at the recent
land sale for the original
police reserve on the Mac-
Ivor — it should be adhered
to -
One (1) mile of fencing
would enclose a considerable
extent, and the grass at
all

The Colonial Secretary informed
that the old paddock in the
McIvor having since been
offered for sale by auction
& not sold, the land is
required for use of the Police
