Sir
I herewith enclose a letter
I have just received from Mr
Robinson of Waroora Station.
When I was last there he
informed me that the blacks had
been very troublesome among the
Cattle spearing and hunting them
even in the paddock. And that
he had tried harsh measures and
found that it seemed to make
the blacks worse and therefore was
anxious to try some other plan to
get the blacks in if possible.
With that object in view he had
got one black in but as he tried to
escape had beaten and chained him
up As I did not consider this black
-fellow likely to come back if sent
away. I sent the boys out to bring in
another whom I clothed fed and
inspired with a certain amount
of Confidence and then sent him
to bring in his friends
Robinson now writes to say they are
begining to come in and wants aid
from the Government. ----
I have the honour to be
your obedient servant
