Re Petition to The Hon The Colonial
Secretary to have a Native Police
Detachment stationed on Wooroora Run.

Sir
I [sic] submitting the annexed Petition
I have merely to reiterate what I
said on this matter in my report to
you of the 19th inst No. 13 . 90.
With reference to forming
a new Native Police Station on
Wooroora Run I consider such
expenditure may be avoided by
placing a double Detachment at
Nigger Creek. This I consider would
not alone afford ample protection
to Mr. Robinson but would also
give Police protection to the outlying
Stations as then a continuous
patrol could be kept up throughout
the whole of that large Sub District.
Mr. Robinson it appears
does not employ white labor but
works his run with black boys.

By the arrangements just completed in the
Port Douglas District - Cadet Cooper is stationed
at Nigger Creek with a detachment of Six
Trackers & a Camp Keeper. This will meet all the requirements
of the district.
