Police Court Maytown 1st February 1888 Before me T.C. Davies Esqu [Commissioner of Police stamp 20 Mar 88] Adjourned Inquiry re death of Alfred Wright Joseph Kelvin McWaugh on oath states. I am superintendent of Strathleven Station. On the 9th January last Alfred Wright the deceased, John Carrigan the black boy and myself were camped about three quarters of a mile below the Station. I swam across the river – the Palmer – to the station to get some rations and brought provisions back to the camp and returned to the station
